Now that I've had a chance to take care of so many things on my plate today, I didn't want to go to sleep without coming here to blog a little more in detail - and a little more personally, about the Open Beta experience.

If you have Pre-ordered, you will get your Official Meeroos release packaged with your gifts on Wednesday, May 18th. Your Pre-Order Trunk will be delivered to you automatically.

Moved onto some really sweet new servers, with more CPU than I know what to do with atm, but we should be good to go for exponential growth!

Web site was migrated over as well, this was actually the trickiest part of all, with so many moving parts. The good news is, all the issues should be resolved now, emails should be going out, etc.

Temoren Drathman sent this picture in and while plenty of Meeroo pix have been floating around, this one really tickled me when I needed something uplifting.

It's times like this all the nights and weekends for the last seven months are totally worth it!!

Tonight was an overwhelming success.

We delivered over 2500 chests from the database flawlessly.

The only bug we discovered was the server still registering some folks as having a previously rezzed Beta Chest and auto deleting their new one. We simply redelivered these manually.

...That waiting is hard, but please, for the moment...

So, we were all geared up for last night, we play the diligent role of Santa Claus and checked our list once, then twice. Some things you simply can't anticipate until you test with a large audience, and that's when the flaws are revealed.

For us, it was the Firewall on the servers which reacted to the barrage of activity by denying service under the belief it was under a malicious attack. It's a safeguard in every secure system, to ensure that the data is preserved under a threat. That's why so many of you experienced issues last night.

We're going to let another large batch of trunks build up and resume sending again sometime throughout Tuesday May 3.

our initial findings are an error in the DB firewall which felt the server was under a DoS attack and started refusing requests, so we'll need time to address this issue.

It was a great test, we had way less issues then the first round at the start of beta, at least up until the firewall got grumpy lol.

We apologize for the inconvenience and the delay we know you all want your Meeroos as badly as we want you to have them.

Your Meeroos will be delivered just after 8pm SLT. Here's what we want to see happen to properly stress test the new servers!

8:00pm SLT you can attach your new HUD and collect any HUD update that is available.

8:20pm SLT We will send out Chests as quickly as possible.

Begin unpacking your Chest as quickly as possible! (Remember, do not open the contents and extract to inventory, you'll break it!) Simply click on the Chest and unpack it from the dropdown menu that appears.

We've been aggregating all of your feedback and information over the last few weeks in order to complete one last BIG update to improve the Meeroos experience! We also decided to take one great big step toward safety and simulate another "Launch Condition" scenario to test the brand new servers we've just upgraded too.
