Holding your roo = Any comfort gain ?

In the official user guide the following text describes holding one's meeroo.

HOLDING MEEROOS™: When a Meeroo™ wishes to be held, it will approach you, hold up its arms, and you may see little hearts float toward you. Make sure you watch your local chat to see it ask for a snuggle! To a Meeroo™, you are its Parent, and it will never ask anyone else but you to hold it.

To hold your Meeroo™:
Left Click on the Meeroo™ asking
Navigate to your Status Tab
Click the Attach Button
Accept the Request to animate your Avatar on the dropdown menu by selecting “Yes”
The Meeroo™ will leap into your arms!

DROPPING MEEROOS™: Never detach your Meeroo™! It can go into your inventory and get lost. We highly suggest you always do the following:

To Drop your Meeroo™:
Right click on the Meeroo™ in your arms
Select “Drop” from the menu that appears.
The Meeroo™ will drop to the ground and quickly resume his play.

NOTE: If the “Drop” option is grayed out, double check that you have permission on build on the land you are on! You must either be on land you own, land your group owns with the Build option enabled or the proper group tag activated for the group the land is deeded to.

You can only hold Meeroos™ that belong to you. Your friends cannot hold your Meeroos™, and you cannot hold theirs. This would require a change of ownership!

Holding your Meeroos™ increases their comfort level and generally keeps them happy! If they seem too needy, don’t worry, you don’t have to hold every Meeroo™ that asks, or spend all day petting Meeroos™ until your fingers are raw! These are options that empower your experience, not obligations that you must undertake. It is not mandatory that you hold or pet your Meeroos.

NOTE the last paragraph states "Holding your Meeroos™ increases their comfort level and generally keeps them happy!" - However every CSR I have spoke with says it has no effect on comfort or regard. I would love to know if this is a bug / error and if so whether or not it will be fixed.

Seems like a lot of effort went into programming this feature of holding them, for it to have absolutely zero effect on comfort level or regard level and with it having been stated in the user guide I wondered if this was going to be fixed in the next update?
