I am wondering this. Over the last couple of weeks I have been noticing my autumns, reds, & sierra's are dropping usually a female nest with autumn coat. I don't mind that they are female or autumn. I am overrun by autumns are the moment. I have 13 total nested and 11 lives.
In Autumns alone, there is a very wide margin, atleast 3:1 to that of female to male.
I am pondering how the sex of the meeroo is determined. Is that just random, or what other genetics could be at work. We all know about mom's hidden eye, etc. This is really bugging me as I can barely use any of these new females as my males most of the time do not match. I have a gen 7 nest coming tomorrow and I can almost be assured it will be a girl.
Any insights please?
